What Is Faux Painting?

Faux painting is the art of using paint to create the illusion of texture, movement, and depth on flat surfaces like walls, furniture and cabinets. Unique faux finishes can subtly create a simple but striking ambiance.

Do you provide services to commercial business and professional offices?

Yes. See samples of Shona’s commercial work in my Showcase.

What to expect.

It starts with a free consultation. At your convenience, Shona will come to your location, portfolio in hand, to discuss the options available to you. After looking over the space and discussing your ideas, a sample book is created specifically for you, which outlines what can be done to transform your space. Since it is your space, it is important that you have a clear idea of what is going to happen. With Simply Splendid there is never a question. It’s all crystal clear.

Once you have decided on the look you would like to achieve, Shona will put together a quote for you which will outline the steps and costs, along with a timeframe for completion. After she receives a deposit, work can begin. One of the things that our clients always mention in their testimonials is the professionalism and neatness of Shona’s workspace. With Simply Splendid you can be assured that you and your space will be treated with the utmost respect and consideration.

Why choose Simply Splendid?

Shona has been in business for over 24 years working in over 800 homes and commercial spaces. Shona’s business has been built on repeat business and word of mouth from satisfied customers. Your home will be treated like her own by doing that little extra. Floors and furniture will always be covered and protected but she’ll also let out the family dog or clean the chandelier while up on the ladder. Customer service and satisfaction is her number one goal.

How long have you been faux painting?

I have been faux painting for over 24 years. I am always looking for new and interesting techniques.
